Learn the essentials of creating functional ceramics on a potter's wheel. Whether you are new to ceramics or a professional artist looking to further your practice, visiting artist Ryan Gray will take an individualized approach to teaching all aspects of wheel throwing including form making, trimming, altering, assembling, and glazing. This course will help in promoting access and understanding to the importance of ceramic arts while encouraging exploration and self-expression within a supportive and inspiring artistic community.
Instructor will provide a materials list on the first day of class. The course includes instruction, a 25 lb bag of clay, glazes, firings and two additional hours of open studio time per class session. Limited to 10 students per section.
