About the Artist:

Visualization is one of the strongest ways we develop cognition. Through visualization we grasp complex theory, recognize patterns, and build upon our learned optical experiences. Within the optic realm Lia Halloran intersects her passion for art and science by developing a visual language in order to expand understanding and celebrate the history and building blocks of scientific exploration.

The intersection of art and science within Halloran’s work facilitates a deeper appreciation and comprehension of science. The images create an accessible avenue for us to understand the complex nature of scientific subjects encouraging us to investigate them further. Art motivates innovation in science, and vice versa. Art possesses the ability to discover and untangle new subjects.
