About the Artist:
Using a broad palette of vibrant colors, Jorge Pardo's alluring work examines the intersection of contemporary painting, design, sculpture, and architecture. Working on minuscule and monumental scales, Pardo treats entire public spaces as blank canvases looking to be transformed. Tecoh is his most ambitious project to date, nestled in the northern Yucatan jungle, where Pardo combined Mayan ruins and modern design creating a sprawling series of buildings, pools, and gardens that question the distinction between fine art and architecture.
