Lux Art Institute presented the return of its annual fundraising event, which took place in a unique two-night hybrid format. Lux After Dark: A New Territory kicked off with a Drive-Thru Art Experience. Upgrade opportunities included art activities for kids, a to-go menu provided by Miho Catering Co., and more. A VIP upgrade allowed attendees to also enjoy a private, socially-distant event in Lux’s backyard garden space with catered food, specialty cocktails, and live entertainment. The second night of programming commenced with a free fundraiser online that included the presentation of the organization’s annual Luxie award and paddle raise, guest performances, and special announcements from Lux’s Executive Director Andrew Utt. Proceeds will help raise funds for its exhibitions of contemporary art, revolutionary educational programming, and public community building.
